Sturdy shoes, weather-appropriate layers, and a water bottle. Wellington weather changes quickly — a windproof jacket and sunscreen are sensible. Check MetService before heading out.

Whānau-friendly walks welcome children. Dog policies vary by route — check the event description. Dogs on lead are permitted on designated waterfront footpaths.

Walk leaders are community volunteers who complete our orientation covering route knowledge, group management, and basic safety awareness. They are not professional guides unless stated for a specific paid event.
